Last year, I received Just Dance 2 for my family’s Wii and instantly fell in love with the game. I became addicted and purchased the original as well. So naturally, when Just Dance 3 was released in October, I HAD to have it for Christmas. I couldn’t wait to play it for the first time on Christmas day, but was also a little worried about if it would live up to my expectations. Just Dance 3 not only met my expectations, but surpassed them. The dance moves were even better with the Wii seeming to being able to pick up more of my movement. They had the option of choosing songs by style, which include ones that allow four players to have different moves (“dance crew”). They also have sweat versions and mash-ups that can be unlocked when you earn enough points. They had a few songs that I was especially looking forward to: Party Rock Anthem, Forget You, and Let’s Go to the Mall.
Here is the full song list from the website:
While I use the Wii version, Just Dance 3 is also available for the Xbox Kinnect and Playstation Move. Any of the Just Dance 3 versions can be found at Best Buy (pre-owned $34.99, Best Buy Exclusive Katy Perry Edition-$29.99), Gamestop (new all 3: $29.99), Toysrus (all 3: $39.99), Amazon.com ($29.96), and directly from the company, ubisoft, online ($39.99). Once it has been out for a while, Costco will also probably provide it at the cheaper price.
Just Dance also has other versions available: Summer Party, Just Dance Kids, ABBA, Michael Jackson the Experience, and Black Eyed Peas the Experience. They also have a few more songs that you can download online.
Just Dance 3 is a great way to have fun with friends (and possibly embarrass yourself) while also being active. Trust me, even if you are doing it on your own, it does not feel like a boring exercise routine. With the large selection of songs, modes, and possibly achievements you will not easily get bored of playing it. So join in on the fun and just dance!
