Nickeled and Dimed

In Nickled and Dimed, the author illustrates the dire straits of those working in underpaid positions such as housekeeping and wait staffing. Though I have often seen these workers maintaining the standards. I have come to expect in places of business, I have never really considered that us h work is how these individuals must earn their wages and support themselves, and often a family. I am ashamed to admit that I have found myself bowing off waitressing as a job for high schoolers or a dead end job, not a real job. Nickeled and Dimed does a good job of showing off how real–and rough–these jobs can truly be.
