Ehrenreich, Nickel and Dimed

I found this book so interesting for many different reasons. Because this book was written recently, within the past 10 years, many women now a days can relate to it. Most men believe that women should be waitresses, housemaids, or anything that is a stereotypical female job, and in this book, Ehrenreich takes on many of the ones I just listed. Being able to prove that it is hard to have a job like these and sustain livable living quarters proves that in America, minimum wage isn’t enough to get by.  Even working for men is proven difficult because they treat women differently and expect more out of them than out of someone of their same sex. Ehrenreich also mentions several problems with wages being extremely low, I found this relevant because this is still the case in 2014.
